So correct. It is largely to blame the RS3 developers literally have no idea what to do with PvP and how to balance it. They are like beginner amateurs that never taken care of an mmorpg. It's quite sad really that the OSRS development team is much superior in every way. I like RS3 the update graphics, but the match is hollow and the fact everything is top tier or nothing is merely sad. The intense DPS differences between someone using complete keybinded mouse compared to some man trying to make it is distinct also. It is paradise that is elitist. The EOC system in RS3 isn't that great and poorly equipped, it appears to me that it's limited to what the outdated engine can deal with. They made it to be compatible using a modified RS2 engine instead of doing what other MMO programmers did that was designing a brand new game engine depending on the combat system they desire.

No quantity of balancing and adjustments will make it attractive to PVP when the biggest culprit is that the combat system. Some MMOs have a big pvp scene where people waste hours PVPing for no gain at all since their battle system is engaging and fun whereas RS does all it can to give GP incentive but nobody's bitig and for great reason.Sure it is just a tiny step up from the prior old school battle system but it's simply not that good and still brings the crappy attributes from the old. Those features being long ticks, grid centered placement, point and click on movement and automatic trageting that makes combat so clunky and meh if you compared it with latest MMOs so you will not be getting new players to love it.

Runescape has quite a player pool. Most of the OSRS players performed in the day. So when you look at someone who knew rs in 2005 or 2006, or 2004, through the hayday of player inhabitants, if they have to choose, they'll select a 2007scape game because it's more familiar. RS3 is an entirely different game, frankly and with MTX infamy horrendous mish mash of graphics. RS3 is attempting to be something whilst OSRS and its legacy embrace that it can not. Old School has outdated art design, the old battle that fits together with all the grid/0.6 tick system, whilst RS3 attempts to go the activity bar route which demands fluid gameflow, which RS3 just does not have. It's unbelievably old and complex. Try to jump into another MMO that's been happening for some time? Try maplestory 2 or TERA. You will quickly be overwhelmed with 100 interfaces like RS3 does. To get a player, it's a turn off. That's not even talking about all of the jumble players should know, that is just the fundamentals.
