(FWIW, I believe Nintendo is like 30% of the way there with their NES and SNES libraries. If they added N64 and Gamecube, and continue fleshing out the collections, plus add in some current-gen titles, it might be a fairly competitive support... but that's a long way off, if they ever get it done...)

Just like you mention, I'm also really sick of paying $60 for a 10-15 hour match. And I have a fantastic job and salary and operate full-time. It still feels like a lot of.

If a match takes longer than that then the chances of me actually completing it crash. I work full time and have a fairly shitty program so that I can only just game on the weekends most of the time.

I have also discovered that devs throw in a great deal of useless filler crap or else they inflate the problem of the game so it takes longer because they know they'll face backlash if it's too short. I truly hate feeling as if my time has been wasted.

I will happily spend $60 on a 8-10 hour match that is concise and doesn't waste my time.

You're right though, the change is now very much something that's only good on occasion. In a ideal world Nintendo will be investing in fresh first party content to where they're falling a new game (or even a interface as long as it is not $60) every couple months however. . That does not happen.

On twitter I turned notifications for @Wario64 and @PS5Stockalerts which got me close a few of times but I had no chance, although others got it for certain.

I would say find a subreddit for this I utilized the PS5 subreddit back in early December for upgrades before those guys even tweeted . Idk if the sub still has a dedicated thread to finding PS5s like it did but I can guarantee there's something on reddit someplace just for PS5 revenue

Absolutely loved this Direct, with the highlights being Splatoon 3 (I have almost 500 hours at the next match and possibly 200-300 from the very first game) and Triangle Strategy. Pyra and Mythra in Smash is cool, I can't wait to eventually try out Hades (I was waiting for a physical release), Mario Golf looks fun (have not ever played a Mario Golf game before), I'll probably check out the Age of Calamity DLC, and Skyward Sword HD gives me a reason to get around to that game, though having WW and TP with SS in a collection would have been better. Seeing a few new Dragon Hunter Rise critters and mechanisms reminded me how much I am looking forward to the game (I have never played with a MonHun game before, but awakened 10-15 hours into the demo and I'm addicted). No More Heroes 3 looks good but I need to play with the first two first, and I've heard great things about Miitopia and the Ninja Gaiden series.
