something which bothers me at a lot of gambling subreddits is"that I bought the thing!" Posts reaching massive quantities of upvotes. However, there are some really talented artists out there making beautiful fanmade merch, and that should not be ignored. I want to say that maybe merch posts should be restricted to the people who made the things, but that might cross over into self-promotion too much.
Official merch definitely doesn't have to be part of the subreddit. This ought to be a place to show off things we've created, both in and out of the game, and also to discuss the game as a whole. By definition, the official merch isn't created by community members, and the only effort involved in making a post about it's taking the image.
Just a lot more common occurrences. When you have been here nearly every day for a year, you get tired of visiting"[villager] spitting fire!" Because yet another player is getting the"hating pineapple pizza is cool" conversation. Is. Going. On." Yeah convinced that was amusing the first 10 times it happened in early December. Not so much in mid-February.
Personally I'm not bothered with this. I enjoy knowing what is coming so I could best prepare for this. The one thing that bothers me about time-traveling is when somebody posts about"finally" achieving something that's simply possible through time-travel, such as getting all of the zodiac items, but we're pretty much past the point of being an issue today. Whenever someone posts about a villager seeing their grandma's memorial, by way of example, I just think of it as posting about the way they still feel their grandma is with them, and it is a happy thing.
