As we've seen from the gameplay trailer that released last month, the images will be almost identical, if not identical to NBA 2K20. While this could be a problem for some, I'm fine with this piece of stagnation. There are two reasons: first, I believe we have already seen this creation of consoled pushed into their graphical limit. It is not likely to get far better on PS4 and XB1 than that which we see here. Second , it would be absurd to presume 2K would want to invest in improving the item visually when they stand to profit from providing a next-gen version that'll be hyped up mainly because of how amazing it seems. 2K and every other producer of annual sports video games may want the gap between current and next-gen to be somewhat noticeable from a visual perspective. As a customer, I am fine with that strategy.

Soundtracks are all cool and all, but quite frankly, I fight to find the real long-term value in investing too much into this part of a match. That's an opinion that I am sure some will agree with, and others might disagree. Nevertheless, we've seen the soundtrack which is going to be in the game and depending upon your own personal tastes, you are either elated, frustrated, or could care less about the songs included. I am fine with what is coming on this front, and as far as commentary, I can await the next-gen versions for a significant leap in this region. Some really cool things could be done to make what's already very good opinion in the game even better.

I am not necessarily speaking about delivering new ways. For instance, I've already stated that without a salary cap attribute in MyTeam, I'm probably not going to give that aspect of this game a lot of my period this year. Madden, FIFA, MLB The Show, along with the NHL series have excellent variations of the concept in their own collector manners. 2K wants to bring this back to my own team.

Many MyGM and MyLeague fans are concerned because we haven't seen a site for this region of the sport, and usually that has been released by now. It's uncertain if that means those beloved modes have gone untouched. Hopefully, that isn't the case as they're a few updates that could be delivered to the current-gen that wouldn't undermine the appeal of this next-gen. For instance, allowing offline roll creators to add tattoos to created players. Allowing MyLeagues having a more flexible number of teams (8-64). Allow for rule changes that enable a four-point line (something I understand that's been discussed in the past), changing the three-point line to school distance, as well as enhancing trade/free-agency logic for CPU-controlled teams.
