Players need to head to the Diablo 2 website and enter their arrival date to the pop-up box. As previously stated, this can be an M for mature-rated game so players need to be 18+ or have the permission of a parent or guardian who is of age. After the participant enters their birth date, the web site will redirect them to the main page of the site. At the top right of the page is going to be a large button labeled Opt-In. Click it to be sent to the official log-in button. Hit this button labeled Tech Alpha Opt-In.

After hitting that button, players will be taken to some Blizzard Log-In page. Log-in and gamers will see a final Opt-In choice on the preceding screen that they were only on. Hit it a final time, and once the button has been replaced with a Thank You message players will be officially signed up to the Alpha version of the game. Remember that registering for the alpha is only going to give the participant access to this alpha version of the game, and only while it's in that stage. If players want the full version of the game when it is outside, they will still need to buy it.

In BlizzConline over the weekend, Blizzard revealed the long-awaited Diablo 2 remake, which will be known as Diablo 2 Resurrected. Obviously, the reveal of Diablo 2 Resurrected sparked a lot of questions among fans, particularly after the tragedy which has been Warcraft 3 Reforged.

The answer to this question is"Surely not," according to Diablo 2 Resurrected principal designer Rob Gallerani in a Diablo Q&A session throughout BlizzConline. When asked if Diablo 2 Resurrected would overwrite a first Diablo 2 installment, Gallerani answered,"No, absolutely not. Everything you've got concerning D2 now will stay D2; this really is another product, a separate game. You can play with them in precisely the same time if you would like."

In a follow-up to that question, Gallerani confirmed that players won't be able to draw characters from the first Diablo two forwards into Diablo 2 Resurrected, so it looks like most of us Diablo veterans might have to start fresh when Resurrected lands on the scene (not that anyone is very likely to complain of that).
