The storyline to this ability is that you're attempting to learn what's beneath the large spooky castle. A while ago, an amazing energy sailed through runescape (it was a large real life event, players were lifted up temporarily and also a red light beamed onto everyone). Your intent is to travel into the bottom depths of the dungeons below the castle. . .all the method to ground 60...and uncover the source of the strange power.
Some rapid basics for you to know now: Floor: You are able to do more flooring as your level gets higher. The lower the ground, the better the experience gained. Complexity: How many abilities your flooring includes. The more complex, the more experience. Prestige: A mechanic that gives one mroe xp for carrying the floors in order than simply doing constant high level floors. Starting room: the room you start in with all essential facilities, some meals, and a shop with nearly everything you may need. But it costs a bit.
Binds: You are able to bind one weapon or peice of armour, along with runes or arrows (around 125 of them). The amount of bindable weapons/armour increases as the level goes up. Guardian doorways: you can just open these once you have conquered all monsters in the room. Skill doors: you need a certain skill level to start these. Puzzle room: like it says, a puzzle. If you are stuck, look for a dungeoneering guide on the internet. They list all of the puzzles. Passing: reduces your expertise by a fair chunk. Seriously, don't perish. Nawt kewl.
I will try to explain it super-easily. You will find a bunch of dungeons, called floors. Think of them as mazes which you get XP for by reaching the end. Since you level the ability, you unlock more flooring. The floor number has nothing to do with how hard the dungeon is. The only difference between every floor is the boss looks different as well as the scenery changes.
