Sports games 2K MT are sleazier than cellular games. Ads, product placement, paid loot boxes, +$60 releases which reuse over 90% of articles in the previous game and it continues on. The playerbase for these games are almost all brainwashed and/or Stockholm will defend the match's practices to their own deathbeds and syndromed to it. It is sad. The final part is more that the average console purchasing sports game participant is merely half braindead already. Ton's of bro's out there buy these game boxes to only play with sports games. They literally don't care for any of the stuff.
Look at it from their standpoint. They don't play games and they enjoy the game. They have friends and they enjoy playing with a couple of matches occasionally. They purchase NBA 2K and they play with with it. They don't even see the problems, As they don't play games. There's a big difference between hardcore gamer spending a great deal of cash on bad games and paying a great deal for microtransactions, and a casual player purchasing a game and enjoying it without spending anything more on it. We ought to criticize the businesses which do this, and then the players that are currently throwing a great deal of money at these games.
There are three (two in how things are done nowadays ) primary options for continuing support which can be used:Advertisements, Micro Transactions, DLC (I am talking more what in the past will be termed a growth incidentally, not here's another blinged out epidermis for your character customization options). The difficulty I have is targeted advertisment if you expect me to pay whole price for NBA 2K AND use transactions AND then shard NBA 2K off together with DLC's with content.
This is something which Overwatch as NBA 2K got right - largely (it is micro transaction version does have a couple issues - but since pretty well everything is earnable through play time it is not a big issue). I get having such and merchandise placements : But we really need games to be matches. The best alternative in addressing this, we as consumers have is loudly NOT complain, and get the item until it is repaired. It is like training a puppy, kinda - we do not provide them treats, if they're bad. If they listen and behave themselves we provide them treats. In the case of media companies etc.. Treats = cash.
I mean if you're going to have a long term commitment to NBA 2K you don't release a new version every single year. Like this isn't the type of game which is going to be supported for five decades and needs additional revenue sources provide updates. After 2K22 or whatever drops following year, it's doubtful that the present version is going to have any workers remaining working on it.
The justice bundle that was humble was bought by me and it comprised 2K20. I chased off the series however, the simulation itself is something I have loved for so long that I needed to jump in. The advertisement is a KIA one and they don't even conceal the fact they are covering within the UI. They have the choice to skip their video series or participate in the questions they ask. The place in which the skip button is generally has, while the advertisement plays. It feels like they're taunting you a bit like"view, this is the point where the button to skip generally is but you can't Cheap 2K21 MT press it!"
