Hello everyone! How goes the road to 120 Farming and Herblore? Since I last talked to you in October, I've continued to get to know the staff, to find out about the work they perform and their capabilities, and also to understand what motivates you, our Runescape players. All of this is important since it will shape our direction and plans for 2020 -- I need the 12 months beforehand to become greater than the 12 months which is behind us.

And also these efforts persist. Now, we're on the cusp of a brand-new era for RuneScape. This evolution is going to take a few years to unfold, and also how this seems becomes clearer to me every day. However, the plan is not finalised yet. I've still got lots of work to perform ensuring that our strategy is consistent and correctly supported throughout our development teams. I need to be absolutely certain that we're working toward a great selection of regular content, and that this informative article which will decide on a new gold standard for RuneScape. Our core experience has to be great, our NXT customer needs to be modernised, and Runescape game needs to be worth your time.

To get this right, I need to know we are prioritising the right things. What content do you participate with the maximum? And what are you telling us you want? Just as importantly, I need to understand what our strengths and weaknesses are as a team and studio. When have we succeeded? And where have we underdelivered? Bearing this in mind, I need to come up with a RuneScape leadership group that's working together to make an inspiring vision for our future. To deliver this we will call for new growth standards, new manufacturing process and production plans, new tools and pipeline optimisations. The RuneScape staff is growing, and these teams must be efficiently and speedily working together on common goals. I'm even considering how we can build more creativity and fun in our day-to-day work atmosphere. All of which ought to translate into a much better product, meaning more joyful Runescape players, and programmers who are proud of their work.

However, this means we are not yet in the place to give you our typical Year Ahead movie. I want to come to you with a plan which takes RuneScape from the leadership Runescape players want and deserve. I would like to get to a location where the flow of content is no more a concern. I want you to be genuinely excited about all the new experiences coming your way. And I want you to understand these things are coming regularly and predictably. We are going to be bringing this roadmap for you some time in the early New Year.

What I can confirm today is that Runescape Archaeology will soon be coming a little later than we mentioned at RuneFest. The update is so close to being where we'd like it. In truth we could release it and it might deliver on much of your expectations (we're thrilled with Runescape gameplay! ) ) But I feel that using some more QA time and polish we could provide a better launch at a greater visual benchmark. Runescape Archaeology has been a substantial development effort (we've been working on it for more than a year) and I am sure the best move would be to give it the chance to satisfy more of its potential. The Land Out of Time raised the visual bar for Runescape match, and we have to make sure that Runescape Archaeology asserts that standard.

Lots of you have been asking for it, and in ancient 2020 we're really excited to be able to offer the PvM Hub, today known as War's Retreat, which came from our autumn Game Jam.
