In a session, there was a question given to the mods. The response was to allow the players attempt to come up with their own. And so, here is my attempt at explaining it.Part 1 - SkotizoStarting off, I looked into Skotizo, also learned that he was a Zamorakian General who had been delivered to Karamja to find a powerful artifact. He stole it, found it, and then fled to Zeah with it , later creating the catacombs that weave their way below Kourend's town. I made the assumption that the artifact in question was the crystal Skotizo's back that bears a strong resemblance. Given the character of its inhabitants and the catacombs, I hypothesized that the artifact had two properties: it emanates large quantities of energy and life is manipulated by it.
From what I recall from RS3, Zaros conveys the aspect of darkness and has attempted to manipulate a variety of life-forms in the past; so I moved to the wiki in hopes of finding some sort of connection. To my luck I actually found a good lead. Each attuned to one of the four elements of Historical Magick, four power stones had been generated by zaros. And from four different races he generated the Nihil with them. According to this I speculate that the artifact is a Power Stone, a precursor and model to the four electricity stones that came after. It was likely a failure, horribly warping the ones it had been used on both mentally and physically. Thus Zaros decided to hide it away in the southern jungles of Karamja, guarded in a temple to keep away. Zamorak probably learned of its existence while functioning as Zaros' general. After taking his place for a god banishing him, Zamorak tried to find the artifact to further boost his powers. But after Skotizo took it for himself, he also left the continent avoid Zamorak's anger.
Well, because OSRS went Complete Metal Alchemist 2003 route (gecko ending trope), I would love to ask to someone who got more information than me.I'm largely a RS3 player, but already played and saw some new lore from OSRS. I would like to inquire about what are the main differences in already established story arcs (the older ones) and perhaps a little about the new narrative arcs as well.I've heard they're completing some series on its own, so, how does this fit in the general Runescape lore? I think both must be valid right? Thanks in advance, since canon since that meant that right now there's nothing like a canon RS story.
