OfflineScape has several potential benefits and could possibly benefit the live match in the long term. Since its invention, RuneScape has always been about playing with friends and connecting with RS gold people in a gameplay atmosphere. That's wonderful and should never go away. HOWEVER. Think about playing with Skyrim and just how much pleasure it was to simply do whatever you wanted. Spawn in things? Noclip your way? I thought you would never ask. It let you just have fun in the way you saw fit. Now, back to OSRS. A offline mode would let you do anything you wanted with your accounts without fear of a) impacting different people's gameplay and b) with any rules you might be punished for breaking. This mode wouldn't supply any"cheats", but it will be offline and there is nothing stopping you from auto-clicking your way to 99 magic if that's how you want to savor RuneScape.

I believe something similar to this should be the final thing if OSRS close Jagex does. They would need to employ some AI for Minigames such as B.A, and AI Pkers for the wilderness, along with a lively Grand Exchange. I would pay AAA game price. 100%. Hell, it might be kinda fun also have Steam achievements with it and just to have it. The server"program" would have to be released in the offline format for this to be possible, allowing individuals to reverse engineer it and server perfrect recreations of their official game as personal servers. It makes it easier for people to find exploits that translate to the online game. There are a whole lot of network-related features heavily embedded in to RuneScape, either jagex would need to spend a bunch of time stripping those or you're operating all that shit and a SQL server on your regional machine. Games that are offline are far more difficult to indulge with subscriptions/MTX. Then there is the fact it could be pirated later or sooner. I am not trying to shit all over your dream but it's not really feasible in any way, sorry.

U would not ever have to train a skill again because content wouldn't be locked if you can no clip / etc.. If u can use modded scripts and such I am 100% certain you'd have 99 in every stat as a mad without any work. The point do RuneScape for individuals is such to other players and to show off accomplishments so once you take out gamers why do you want to go through stats and all the quests? Would perhaps take more people we can get. Minus bitters and OSRS buy gold scammers. I spent half in for dragon slayer two between school/work/life and a year, a ton of other quests the pre reqs, hours of vorkath and zulrah praying for drops and that I actually enjoyed it.
